Care like that of any extraction case please refer to instructions of that of removal of tooth.
Suture removal to be done after two weeks of the implant placement.
Post care for Dentures:
- Wear Denture only for small durations initially increase the duration gradually and eat soft diet with it.
- Any discomfort remove the denture and massage the area with cleaned finger and use the prosthesis after a day. If the soreness remains call the Dental Clinic and get your denture adjusted.
- Chewing should be done from both sides .
- Try not to bite from the front teeth may cause end of the denture to move off the gums.
- Biting with side teeth will give better stability
- Rest your tongue over the palate consciously.
- Pain during swallowing may simply require a minor denture base adjustment.
- Saliva may increase in initial times of wearing the denture which diminishes later.
- Practice reading aloud
- Clean the food debris from the dentures by denture cleaning brush for the tooth surface and tissue area clean with damped cotton.
- At night remove the dentures and soak in water overnight.
- Any irritation or soreness while wearing should never be overlooked immediately schedule an offline appointment.
