Purpose of Teledentistry

Teledentistry is a service provided by BATTEESEE to offer remote consultations and dental care to patients. The purpose of teledentistry is to:

• Provide emergency consultations and guidance
• Offer second opinions on dental diagnoses and treatment plans
• Facilitate remote consultations for patients who are unable to visit the dental office in person
• Support dental tourism by providing pre- and post-treatment consultations and care

Limitations of Liability

• The dentist or the practice is not liable for any misdiagnosis or mistreatment that may occur due to the limitations of teledentistry, including but not limited to:
  • Inability to perform an intraoral examination
  • Limited visibility or quality of images or videos shared during the consultation
  • Technical issues or connectivity problems during the consultation.
  • Patients who had once scheduled appointment cannot be refund if cancelled.
  • ⁠The discussion at the call will be entertained for the case of the patient – only one for whom it’s scheduled and not for the large group or other members.
  • ⁠the call is limited to 15-30 mins  for any extension of time please reschedule it.

Use of Teledentistry Services

Patients acknowledge that teledentistry services are not a replacement for in-person dental care and may not be suitable for* all *dental conditions or emergencies.

• Patients are responsible for seeking in-person dental care if their condition requires it.
• ⁠patient must be 18 years or above to place the online consultation

• By using teledentistry services, patients acknowledge that they understand the purpose, limitations, and potential risks of teledentistry and agree to the terms and conditions outlined in this policy.
